Our Big Molly site near Glenevis (40 minutes northwest of Spruce Grove) is our regional Sand Processing Facility where we mine, wash and dry frac sand for direct shipment to our customers. We take pride in our product and value our employees while providing a close-knit, local place to work.

THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Director – Operations and based at the Big Molly site, the General Manager – Big Molly Operations is accountable for the safe, reliable, efficient, and profitable performance of the operation.
The position provides integrated leadership across mine and extraction activities, production, maintenance, operational optimization, site services, and technical support.
As the senior operational leader for Big Molly, the General Manager translates corporate strategy into site plans, aligns people and resources to business priorities, and ensures the operation consistently achieves its safety, environmental, production, quality, cost, customer service, and workforce objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Management




Lead the safe, productive, reliable and profitable operation of Big Molly, with overall accountability for mine and extraction activities, production, maintenance, operational optimization, and supporting site functionsCoach, upskill and mentor management teams to perform optimally and in alignment with our core values of integrity, teamwork, service and excellenceDeliver production, product quality, operating cost, asset reliability, and customer service objectives while balancing immediate operating needs with long-term asset healthOversee annual and monthly operating plans, production schedules, resource allocation, shutdown priorities, and asset performanceEstablish and monitor meaningful key performance indicators, operating rhythms, and corrective action plans to improve performance and strengthen accountabilityDrive operational excellence through disciplined planning, data-informed decision-making, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvementEnsure effective coordination across Operations, Maintenance, Logistics, HSE, Geology, Projects, Finance, Human Resources, and other corporate functionsSafety and Compliance
Champion a safety-first culture through visible field leadership, consistent expectations, and active engagement with employees and contractors.
Ensure compliance with applicable occupational health and safety, environmental, regulatory, permit, and corporate requirements.




Lead site risk management and emergency preparedness efforts to protect employees, contractors, assets, the environment, and business continuity.
Partner with the HSE team to strengthen safety systems, reporting, investigations, corrective actions, and organizational capability.
Ensure leaders maintain effective contractor management, safe work practices, training compliance, and audit readiness.
Leadership and Workforce Capability
Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of operational, maintenance, technical, and site-support leadersFoster a culture of accountability, respect, teamwork, open communication, and continuous improvementOversee workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, talent development, and leadership coverage for the siteEnsure effective goal setting, performance management, competency development, progression planning, and training compliancePartner with Human Resources on employee and labour relations matters, workforce programs, leadership development, and change managementAlign leaders and teams to corporate priorities, business objectives, and clearly defined decision rightsBudgeting and Cost Management
