Location: Remote, Canada

Employment Type: Full Time Contract, 37.5 hours per week

Duration: 12 months with potential 12 month extension

About the Opportunity

GemTek Recruiting is seeking an experienced AI Technical Lead for an exciting consulting opportunity supporting enterprise AI innovation and software engineering modernization.

This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who can turn emerging AI technologies into practical, secure, and scalable enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, prototype and integrate Generative AI, large language models (LLMs) and AI agents into enterprise applications.
- Develop AI solutions using Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365, Power Platform and REST APIs.
- Apply AI to software development, automated testing, DevOps and deployment processes.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and establish reusable technical solutions.
- Collaborate with Agile/Scrum teams and provide technical guidance on AI adoption, security and architecture.

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of enterprise software development,



solution architecture or technical leadership experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on AI or Generative AI development and integration experience.
- 3+ years working with Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365, Power Platform or related Microsoft technologies.
- Robust experience with REST APIs, cloud integration, CI/CD and DevOps.
- Experience with LLMs, AI agents, GitHub Copilot or comparable AI development technologies.
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives within Agile/Scrum environments.
- Relevant technical education and certifications are assets.

Mandatory Requirements

- Must reside in Canada and be legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Must be eligible to obtain Canadian Reliability Status security clearance, requiring a minimum of five years of verifiable personal history.
- Strong professional English communication skills.
