Apply NDE inspection expertise at Seaspan Shipyards in Victoria, performing weld and part examinations fully in office. Use MT Level 2 certification daily.
As an NDE Technician, you will inspect structure and piping work, identify non-conformities, and communicate results to supervisors. You will follow specifications, class rules, SOPs, work instructions, and approved NDT plans. The position reports to the Welding QC Supervisor and works closely with NDE coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily in-process and final NDE inspectionsDocument results and communicate findings to supervisorsReview requests against specifications and class rulesIdentify non-conformities and support corrective actionsCoordinate requests among production, QC, and service providersRequirements:
Current valid CGSB MT Level 2 certificationThree years’ NDE Technician experience in structure and pipingUnderstanding of quality control and inspection proceduresAbility to read manufacturing and shop drawingsAbility to acquire Industrial Security ClearanceBring certified magnetic particle testing, technical judgment, and quality inspection experience to Seaspan’s Victoria shipyard operations.
