We currently have an opening for a permanent full-time Senior Mining Services Consultant based in our St. John’s, NL office (Mount Pearl). In this role, you’ll work with talented professionals across the mining space in the province, work on meaningful projects, engage with the pillars of the Newfoundland and Labrador mining community and help sustain GEMTEC’s well regarded place in the industry. Assisting in mine rehabilitation and closure cost estimations Mine site permitting and regulatory consultation support for various projects Government agency interaction including planning meetings and correspondence with applicable regulator groups across various governmental departments Oversight of the execution of project scope, preparation of proposals, budget tracking,



and scheduling to meet client’s expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Canadian Mining Industry across applicable sectors, preferably within the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador but experience within other justifications will be considered Strong technical writing skills Knowledge of provincial regulatory systems within the mining and quarrying legislative spaces Experience with detailed project management, budgeting, scheduling, leading field personnel, and technical expertise is required Project management experience is preferred Completion of an undergraduate degree in geosciences, engineering or a related field Previous experience in mining consulting would be an asset Permanent full-timesalaried position Year-end profit-sharing bonus Health and dental advantages Paid time off (4 weeks of vacation per year and 2 weeks of sick time per year) Office year-end closure (paid time off between Christmas and New Years) Lifestyle spending account
