Lead community engagement and project communications for Aecon’s YNSE infrastructure work in North York, using robust stakeholder relations skills.
Reporting to the Communications and Community Engagement Director, the Communications Specialist supports approved communication and engagement activities. The work includes maintaining client relationships, engaging residents and businesses, and coordinating public consultation. Infrastructure experience is considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities

Develop proactive engagement initiatives along the YNSE corridorRespond professionally to community inquiries and construction issuesCoordinate meetings, open houses,



and stakeholder working groupsParticipate in construction liaison committees and public engagement activitiesLead canvassing, business outreach, and stakeholder engagementRequirements:
Degree or diploma in communications, public relations, or journalismMinimum three years of related experienceStrong written and oral communications skillsMicrosoft Office proficiency;
Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva considered assetsValid driver’s license, security clearance, and background checks requiredBring organized communication, public consultation, and stakeholder relationship skills to Aecon’s YNSE community engagement work.
