Lux Marine builds 22–26' aluminum cabin and cuddy boats with pods, right here on the South Island. We're a small, hands-on shop. The owner has 20+ years as a fabricator, and we're hiring one or two people who take pride in clean aluminum work.
What you'll do
- Fit, tack and weld aluminum hulls, decks, cabins and pods - MIG weld with push-pull/spool gun and pulse; TIG for finish work - Fabricate brackets, rails, hardtops and other parts - Grind, finish and inspect your work What we're looking for:
- 3+ years of aluminum fabrication/welding (marine experience strongly preferred) - Strong aluminum MIG skills (TIG a bonus) - Can read drawings - CWB, Red Seal or B/A ticket a bonus - Reliable transportation and your own basic hand tools What we offer:
