Our client, a well-established law firm, is seeking a lawyer with at least 5 years of relevant experience, primarily in penal law, to join its team.
The successful candidate will represent prosecuting parties before several municipal courts located in the Greater Quebec City area, on both the North Shore and South Shore, while also collaborating with the municipal law team, particularly on matters involving land use planning and urban planning.
You will handle criminal and regulatory cases and advise municipal clients on various issues. Preparing, drafting and handling penal prosecution matters before municipal courtsRepresenting the prosecuting party before the courts and providing strategic oversight of filesDrafting statements of offence, proceedings, legal opinions, recommendations and other legal documentsAdvising municipalities on the application and enforcement of their regulationsCollaborating with the municipal law team,



particularly on land use planning and urban planning mattersWorking with other professionals within the firm on matters involving municipal and regulatory law issuesProfile Member in good standing of the Québec BarMinimum of 5 years of relevant experience in penal law, prosecution or representation before the courtsStrong interest in municipal law, land use planning and urban planningExcellent analytical, drafting and communication skillsAutonomous, versatile and highly organizedAbility to manage multiple files and tight deadlinesTeam-oriented, flexible and proactiveInterest in developing and maintaining strong client relationshipsValid driver’s licence, as some travel may be requiredWhat
