Role: Application Development Manager – Banking & Lending

Location: Toronto Canada - Onsite / Hybrid as applicable

: Development Manager – Lending Technology

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Development Manager with 13+ years of IT experience, including solid experience in the Banking and Lending domain. The candidate will lead large-scale application development and transformation initiatives, taking ownership of end-to-end technology delivery while managing cross-functional teams, multiple vendors, and senior business and technology stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should combine strong technology leadership, lending domain knowledge, delivery governance, and stakeholder management, with experience managing complex banking programs involving multiple applications, integrations, and dependent teams.

Key Responsibilities

Development & Delivery Leadership

- Own end-to-end delivery of complex banking and lending technology initiatives from requirements and solution design through development, testing, implementation, and production stabilization.
- Lead multiple development workstreams and manage onsite, offshore, and distributed engineering teams.
- Establish development standards, engineering governance, code quality, release readiness,



and production stability controls.
- Manage delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, RAID items, financials, resource capacity, and executive reporting.
- Drive Agile delivery across multiple squads while maintaining alignment with enterprise architecture, security, risk, and compliance requirements.
- Provide leadership during critical production issues, releases, and major technology transformations.
- Lending Domain Expertise : Demonstrate strong understanding of the end-to-end lending lifecycle, including:
- Customer onboarding and loan origination
- Application intake and processing
- Credit assessment and underwriting
- Credit decisioning
- Pricing and offer management
- Documentation and fulfillment
- Loan booking and disbursement
- Servicing and account maintenance
- Payments and collections
- Delinquency/default management
- Experience with consumer, commercial, mortgage, or small-business lending is preferred.
- Understand integration between lending platforms and banking systems such as customer master, credit bureaus, payments, document management, CRM, risk, fraud, and core banking systems.
