Microsoft Systems & Infrastructure Lead Halifax (Hybrid-2 days in office)Our client a dynamic Information Technology services company that partners with leading global organizations to deliver innovative, high-quality IT solutions is looking for a Microsoft Systems & Infrastructure Lead to join their growing team.
You will provide technical ownership and day-to-day leadership for their global Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Azure, and Microsoft VM infrastructure.
This role combines deep hands-on technical expertise with people leadership. You will lead and develop engineers while ensuring Microsoft infrastructure is secure, resilient, highly available, well monitored, and increasingly automated.
Lead and mentor the Microsoft Infrastructure engineering team.
Provide day-to-day people leadership, including 1:1s, performance management, development planning, coaching, and career development.
Act as the senior technical authority and escalation point for Microsoft infrastructure.
Own the architecture, standards, lifecycle, security, and performance of:Windows ServerActive Directory / Group PolicyMicrosoft ExchangeMicrosoft Azure / Azure VMsWindows VMs and VDIsLead complex technical incidents, root-cause analysis, and Problem Management.
Ensure effective patching, vulnerability remediation, hardening, and configuration compliance.
Drive Microsoft infrastructure monitoring and observability.
Drive automation of VM/VDI provisioning, server configuration,



patching, monitoring, and lifecycle activities.
Support infrastructure projects, architecture reviews, changes, and service transitions.
Maintain technical standards, documentation, runbooks, and technology roadmaps.
Work closely with Platform Infrastructure, Network, Security, Solutions, Monitoring, and Service Management teams.
Significant experience managing enterprise Microsoft infrastructure.
Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange.
Experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure VMs.
Experience managing Windows VMs and/or VDIs.
Experience with Windows vulnerability management, patching, and security hardening.
Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
Experience with enterprise monitoring and observability.
Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, or managing technical engineers.
You will build a secure, resilient, highly available, and increasingly automated Microsoft infrastructure environment, while developing a strong and capable engineering team.

Stronger technical documentation and standards.
