The Recreation Worker plans, develops, and runs meaningful recreation and leisure pursuits. This work promotes wellbeing, purpose, creativity, community, lifelong learning, and fun. You facilitate planned and spontaneous opportunities supporting resident skills, knowledge, relationships, and personal connections.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and implement daily recreation and leisure activities
- Create engaging spaces supporting resident activity and participation
- Communicate with residents, families, volunteers, and community agencies
- Observe, report,



and document changes in participation abilities
- Support resident engagement across all departments

Requirements:

- Prior experience working with seniors
- Long-term care experience is preferred
- Post-secondary recreation or therapeutic recreation diploma or degree
- Related studies completed or planned within three years
- Health care education with relevant recreation services experience
