Process hospital blood orders accurately at Vitalant while supporting patient care through responsive service and careful product handling. Work Shift 2, Tuesday through Saturday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

As a Hospital Distribution Technician, you will prepare blood products for scheduled procedures, ongoing patient needs, and urgent situations. The work requires customer service, computer systems, detailed procedures, and accuracy under pressure. Paid training begins Monday through Friday on dayshift for the first four or more weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Process and confirm routine and urgent hospital blood orders
- Select, verify, prepare, package, and distribute blood products
- Monitor, store, rotate, and track product inventory




- Document transactions and maintain accurate records using computer systems
- Follow safety, quality, temperature-control, and operating procedures

Requirements:

- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and good driving record, except Pennsylvania
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Accurate computer information entry, review, and maintenance abilities
- Ability to lift and move blood products weighing up to 40–50 pounds

Support Vitalant hospitals and patients through accurate blood product preparation, inventory tracking, order processing, and dependable customer service.
