BVT Truck & Trailer Repair is looking for an experienced Service Writer to join our Brandon team

BVT Truck & Trailer Repair, a division of Steve's Livestock Transport, specializes in truck and trailer maintenance, repairs, and custom aluminum fabrication.

With locations in Brandon and Blumenort, Manitoba, and Red Deer, Alberta, we take pride in delivering quality workmanship, dependable service, and keeping our customers on the road.

What You'll Do

As our Service Writer, you'll play a key role in keeping our shop organized, our customers informed, and repairs moving efficiently.

- Be the first point of contact for customers, drivers, and service inquiries.
- Schedule service appointments and coordinate repair requests.
- Create, manage, and assign repair orders (ROs).
- Prepare repair estimates and verify warranty coverage.
- Coordinate with technicians, dispatch, and drivers to prioritize repairs and minimize equipment downtime.
- Help organize daily shop activities and ensure a smooth start to each shift.




- Communicate repair updates and timelines to customers and internal teams.
- Provide backup support to the Parts Department when needed.

What You Bring

- Previous service writing or service advisor experience, preferably in a truck, trailer, automotive, or heavy equipment environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Confidence using computers, Microsoft Excel, and service management systems.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience is considered an asset.
