SPECIALIST CYBER DIPLOMACY & GOVERNANCE (BUSINESS STRATEGY & PLANNING) City of Toronto Toronto, ON Full-time CA$105,241 - CA$160,649 / year The City of Toronto is hiring a full time, permanent Specialist, Cyber Diplomacy & Governance in Toronto Cyber Security. The role provides cybersecurity, business and technical advice to City divisions, agencies and corporations, supporting the CISO's mandate and organizational security priorities. Responsibilities

Develop cybersecurity plans, policies and procedures, assess security needs, and recommend solutions aligned with business strategies and compliance requirements. Support cybersecurity procurement and vendor and contract management, including developing requirements and procurement documents and coordinating reviews with Procurement, Legal, vendors and internal stakeholders. Establish and monitor governance structures, budgets, project activities, metrics, service levels, risks and vendor performance. Prepare reports, briefing notes and presentations, and develop internal communications and cybersecurity awareness and training materials. Lead assigned projects, coordinate teams and resources, oversee day-to-day work of project staff and contract resources,



and recommend improvements to security solutions and business processes. Qualifications

Post-secondary degree in financial management, business administration or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Experience in vendor or contract management, compliance monitoring, cybersecurity procurement and complex technology contracts; public-sector experience is preferred. Experience supporting operating and capital budgets and assessing cybersecurity risks, requirements and controls. Knowledge of cybersecurity controls, risks, threats, technologies and industry practices; SAP Ariba or S/4HANA experience is an asset. Location:

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week. The salary range is $105,241-$160,649 per year. The posting closes November 13, 2026.
