Build a career, not just a job. At Intelliflex, you'll work with people who take pride in doing things right, support each other, and help you grow every step of the way.

About the Role Intelliflex is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join and help grow our Electrical team. This role is strongly focused on the

industrial and hands-on side of electrical engineering , combining practical field experience with engineering design and technical problem-solving.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working directly with industrial electrical equipment, supporting installation and commissioning, troubleshooting issues in the field, and collaborating with engineering and drafting teams to develop practical, buildable solutions.

This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys being

close to the equipment and the work , with a significant in office presence combined with office-based engineering and design responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities Specify, evaluate and integrate industrial electrical equipment, including switchgear, motor control centres, drives, protection systems and associated electrical equipment.

Provide hands-on electrical engineering support from equipment selection and design through installation, start-up and commissioning.

Perform field verification, troubleshooting and technical support for installed electrical systems and equipment.

Work closely with Drafting and 3D design resources to translate field and equipment requirements into accurate, practical and buildable drawings.

Coordinate with Automation on sensors, actuators, controls and control-panel interfaces.

Coordinate with Mechanical Engineering on equipment layouts, electrical loads and system interfaces.

Participate in design reviews, engineering changes, commissioning and project handovers.

Required Skills & Qualifications Demonstrated experience working across the full span of the electrical field; from plant/site environments through to office-based design with clear strength on the industrial/hands-on end of that spectrum.

Hands-on, practical experience with relevant industrial electrical equipment (e.g., switchgear, motor control centers, protection and control systems) — this is the core of the role, not a secondary skill.

Comfort spending most of the time on-site and in the field, with the flexibility to support office-based design work as needed.

Professional Engineer registration with APEGA (Association of Qualified Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta), or eligibility to register.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in datacenter, industrial, or heavy-manufacturing electrical work.

Familiarity with 3D electrical/CAD design tools and working with drafting and design teams.
