The City of Owen Sound is seeking an experienced, strategic Manager of Parks and Open Space. Reporting to the Director of Community Services, this position leads Parks Master Plans, long-term development strategies, capital projects, lifecycle planning, and public engagement. Responsibilities also include reports to Council, development application recommendations, and collaboration across City departments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead Parks Master Plans and long-term development strategies
- Support the Official Plan and recreation facilities master plan
- Review development applications and advise the Development Team




- Oversee capital infrastructure planning and asset lifecycle management
- Present reports to Senior Leadership, committees, and Council

Requirements:

- Related post-secondary degree in planning, forestry, or environmental studies
- Five years of progressive leadership experience in municipal operations
- Experience with public consultation and strategic project management
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills
- Robust organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities
