Job Description

We are looking for an Identity Specialist II / IAM Engineer to join a large public-sector organization based in British Columbia This individual will play a key role in designing, implementing, integrating, and supporting modern identity solutions across both workforce identity (IGA) and customer identity (CIAM) environments. This is a hands-on engineering position for someone who has been directly involved in building and implementing IAM solutions, rather than solely administering an existing platform. You’ll work closely with cybersecurity, architecture, development, and business teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions around authentication, authorization, identity lifecycle management, provisioning, access governance, and application integrations.

Skills and Requirements

- 3+ years of hands-on IAM engineering and implementation experience
- Strong Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD and Active Directory experience
- Experience with SailPoint or a comparable IGA/IAM platform
- Hands-on experience with identity provisioning, lifecycle management, and access governance
- Experience implementing SSO using SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OIDC
- Experience integrating IAM solutions with enterprise/cloud applications, APIs, or connectors
- Solid understanding of MFA,



Conditional Access, Azure, and cloud security
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related STEM fieldSailPoint and/or Ping Identity (ForgeRock)
- CIAM experience
- REST APIs / custom IAM integrations
- PAM, Zero Trust, or NIST knowledge
- Security certification such as CISSP, CISM, or SSCP
