Lead safe pharmacy operations at CHEO’s KidCare Pharmacy in Ottawa, supervising technical work, supporting sterile compounding, and covering scheduled shifts.

This permanent casual pharmacist role combines pediatric hospital pharmacy practice with operational oversight. You will supervise pharmacy assistants and technicians across dispensing, sterile and bulk manufacturing, and calculations. You will also support recent personnel, students, interns, medication safety, and departmental quality activities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise pharmacy assistants’ and technicians’ work
- Oversee dispensing, sterile manufacturing, bulk manufacturing, and calculations
- Train and orient personnel on standard operating procedures
- Precept pharmacy students and interns
- Participate in drug utilization reviews and workload measurements

Requirements:

- Pharmacy degree from a recognized university
- Ontario College of Pharmacists licensure or eligibility
- Vulnerable Sector Check required
- Injection Training required
- Compounding experience preferred
