Build fabricated steel assemblies as a Welder Fitter with Stelco in Nanticoke, Ontario, prioritizing safety, print reading, and industrial welding.

This permanent Stelco position reports to the Area Manager within a heavy industrial environment. The work includes welding metals, fitting assemblies, interpreting fabrication and civil drawings, operating fabrication equipment, and inspecting products. Safety remains the core value across all activities, including contractor and vendor monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and weld different metals and steel
- Read fabrication drawings and produce rough sketches
- Operate saws, presses, shears, torches, and plasma cutters
- Fabricate and weld small and large fabrications
- Inspect materials and finished products against specifications

Requirements:

- Minimum two years’ industrial fabricating experience
- Strong print reading and fabrication skills
- 456A Industrial Welder Certificate is a solid asset
- Ability to obtain TSSA 6G SMAW certification
- Experience with SAW, FCAW, GMAW, or TIG preferred
