This senior-level software engineering role supports the Ajna Kafka-as-a-Service platform. You will design, develop, debug, and operate systems spanning thousands of compute nodes. The work includes Terraform automation, Kubernetes services, and Java-based microservices. You will also investigate incidents and improve availability, resilience, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design resilient distributed systems across multiple data centers
- Deliver cloud infrastructure automation tools and workflows
- Develop Java microservices on Kubernetes and Docker




- Investigate incidents and perform systematic root cause analysis
- Participate in on-call rotation and maintain service availability

Requirements:

- Related technical degree and four-plus years backend development
- Deep knowledge of Java, Golang, Python, or Ruby
- Robust Kafka internals and distributed systems fundamentals
- Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and production debugging experience
- Experience operating critical services and infrastructure applications
