This Registered Nurse provides primary care for Operating Room patients while supporting Patient-Focused Care principles. The RN works with a multidisciplinary team and advances Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre’s Mission and Values. Responsibilities include assessment, intervention, education, and patient advocacy, requiring sound clinical judgment and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide primary care for Operating Room patients
- Assess patients and deliver appropriate interventions
- Educate patients throughout their care
- Advocate for patients’ needs and perspectives
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members

Requirements:

- Current Ontario registration with the College of Nurses
- Current B.C.L.S. certificate
- Completed post-graduate Operating Room certificate
- Current or recent related Operating Room experience
- Physical assessment course and aseptic technique knowledge
