The Role

Murray Chevrolet Cadillac Medicine Hat is looking for an Automotive Service Technician, who can diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles with precision, with a focus on light-duty diesel pickup trucks and diesel engine diagnostics and repair. You’ll ensure customer satisfaction, communicate clearly, follow established processes, and deliver repairs to the highest standards while contributing to team success.

What You’ll Do:

- Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs efficiently and accurately
- Diagnose, service, and repair light-duty diesel pickup trucks, including engine performance, fuel systems, turbochargers, and emissions-related concerns
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
- Communicate with Service Advisors and Parts Department for smooth workflow
- Road test vehicles to verify repairs
- Complete factory and dealership training on new technology
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all safety regulations
- Ensure every repair meets high-quality and safety standards

What We’re Looking For:

- Valid Red Seal Automotive Technician license; Journeyman Certificate
- 3-4 Year Apprentices will be considered
- Knowledge of dealership brand vehicles or local customer preferences an asset
- Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing light-duty diesel pickup trucks is an asset
- Valid Driver’s License with a 3 year driving record
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and disciplined
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality
- Adaptable for weekends and scheduled shifts
