Aviva Canada seeks Junior and Intermediate Commercial Lines Auto Underwriters for a substantial small business portfolio. Junior candidates bring one to three years of insurance experience, foundational underwriting skills, and a learning mindset. You will evaluate risk, analyze reports, manage broker inquiries, and support customer service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate new and existing IRCA business risks
- Analyze reports to determine exposure and loss rating
- Respond promptly to broker policy file modification inquiries
- Develop new business and maintain broker relationships
- Apply loss control and risk management practices
Requirements:
- One to three years of insurance industry experience
- Commercial auto underwriting exposure is an asset
- Foundational underwriting skills and appetite for learning
- CIP designation in progress or completed preferred
- Strong communication, organization, computer, and collaboration skills
