Help people secure permanent housing across Durham Region through advocacy, tenancy support, and coordinated community-based services. The role serves Clarington clients.

As a Housing First Worker, you will provide housing-focused case management for individuals referred through the Region of Durham By-Name List. You will help clients identify goals, address barriers, understand tenant responsibilities, and strengthen housing stability through client-centred, strengths-based, and culturally responsive practice.

Key Responsibilities:

- Advocate with landlords and housing providers
- Support clients with tenancy concerns and tenant rights
- Facilitate community, health, legal, and income referrals
- Respond to crises using approved de-escalation practices




- Build collaborative relationships with community partners

Requirements:

- Related post-secondary education in social services or mental health
- Housing, tenancy stabilization, or homelessness support experience
- Strong advocacy, crisis intervention, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to manage caseloads and meet documentation deadlines
- Proficiency with Office 365 and electronic databases
