Ecoland Inc. is hiring an experienced AZ Driver to transport construction equipment, machinery, trees, plants, and landscape materials to and from active job sites across Ontario.

This is NOT a long-haul or general freight driving position.

This is a daily, hands-on construction and landscape transportation role. Drivers are responsible for safely loading, securing, transporting, and unloading equipment and materials between our yard, suppliers, nurseries, and active construction sites.

We are looking for someone with proven experience hauling heavy machinery and landscape materials who is comfortable working in construction environments and operating different truck and trailer configurations.

Responsibilities

- Transport construction machinery, trees, plants, aggregates, and landscape materials to and from job sites
- Operate AZ trucks with float, flatbed, tag, and other construction-related trailers
- Independently load and unload excavators, skid steers, loaders, compactors, and other construction equipment
- Safely transport trees, shrubs, nursery stock, and landscape supplies
- Secure heavy equipment and materials using chains, binders, straps, and appropriate tie-down methods
- Pick up equipment and materials from suppliers and deliver them directly to construction sites
- Maneuver trucks and trailers safely in tight yards and active jobsite environments
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery records, and required paperwork
- Coordinate daily pickups and deliveries with management and site supervisors
- Maintain company vehicles and trailers in clean, safe operating condition

Required Qualifications

- Valid Ontario AZ Driver's Licence
- Clean driver's abstract




- Minimum 3 years of professional AZ driving experience
- Direct experience hauling construction equipment on float or flatbed trailers
- Experience loading, securing, and unloading heavy machinery independently
- Strong knowledge of chains, binders, straps, and load securement requirements
- Experience delivering materials to active construction sites
- Comfortable operating different truck and trailer configurations
- Robust knowledge of Ontario transportation and safety regulations
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Physically capable of performing the duties of the position

Strong Assets
- Experience in landscape construction, excavation, paving, or site development
- Experience transporting trees, plants, nursery stock, and landscape materials
- Experience operating excavators, skid steers, loaders, or other construction equipment
- Experience with lowboy, RGN, Landoll, or other specialized equipment trailers
- Experience transporting oversized equipment or loads

Important: Please Read Before Applying This position is specifically for drivers experienced in construction equipment and landscape material hauling.

Applicants with experience limited to the following will not meet the requirements of this position:

- Long-haul or cross-border freight transportation
- Dry van, reefer, or general freight deliveries
- Container or intermodal transport without construction equipment hauling experience
- Highway driving without hands-on machinery loading and securement experience

Previous float/flatbed equipment-hauling experience is required. General AZ driving experience alone is not sufficient.
