We are currently looking for an experienced Bandsaw Operator to join a wood pallet manufacturing and production team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a bandsaw to cut and prepare lumber and wooden materials used in pallet production and repair.
Location: Kipling Ave and The Queensway
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a bandsaw to cut lumber and wooden components to required sizes.
- Measure wood accurately using a tape measure.
- Follow cutting measurements and production specifications.
- Prepare and handle wooden materials for pallet assembly and repair.
- Assist with general production duties as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience operating a bandsaw in a sawmill, pallet manufacturing facility, or woodworking shop.
- Ability to measure accurately using a tape measure.
- Ability to stand for the entire shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Previous forklift experience and a valid forklift licence are considered an asset.
- Steel-toe safety boots are required.
Pay: From $18.50 per hour
