The Senior General Liability Claims Examiner manages Senior Bodily Injury, Casualty, and General Liability claims across automobile, homeowners, and commercial lines. You will report to the Team Leader, Casualty, while engaging stakeholders and supporting effective claim outcomes. The position values progressive claims handling, calm performance under pressure, adaptability, and robust communication. It also includes mentoring junior team members and contributing to an engaged, high-performance team. Commercial General Liability experience covering bodily injury and property damage is required, alongside Ontario auto BI experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage increasingly complex bodily injury and casualty portfolios
- Engage stakeholders throughout effective claim management
- Participate in mediations, pre-trials, and settlement initiatives
- Settle third-party claims and maintain detailed records
- Coach junior staff and assist teammates when needed
Requirements:
- Degree, college diploma, or CIP designation
- Minimum three years' casualty litigation claims handling
- Commercial General Liability bodily injury and property damage experience
- Dependable, adaptable, and independently capable
- Strong MS Office, communication, and interpersonal skills
