Seasonal Barista: Winter Village at the Distillery District

Employment Type: Seasonal contract, November 12 to January 3 (30 to 40 hours per week)

About Us

Arvo Coffee is a multi-roaster café where specialty coffee meets good vibes. Set in the historic Distillery District, we’re all about pouring exceptional experiences for our guests and building a warm, welcoming home for our team.

Each holiday season, the Winter Village fills the Distillery’s cobblestone streets with twinkling lights, festive energy, and visitors from near and far. We’re looking for someone to help us keep them warm, one great cup at a time.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a Seasonal Barista who loves coffee and lights up when making someone’s day better. Specialty coffee experience is a real asset, but passion and a great attitude matter most. We’ll train you on our processes and approach, and you’ll get your hands on world-class coffee equipment along the way.

Key Responsibilities

- Coffee Craft: Pull beautiful shots and craft high-quality espresso beverages with care, precision, and a smile, even when the line is long.
- Guest Experience:



Bring the holiday cheer and make every guest feel welcome, whether they’re regulars or first-time visitors.
- Service Support: Pitch in wherever needed to keep service smooth, from restocking to preparing and serving food and drinks.
- Equipment TLC: Keep our coffee gear clean and dialed in for peak performance.

Qualifications

- Previous barista experience in a specialty coffee shop is an asset.
- Experience in hospitality or a high-volume setting is preferred.
- Availability throughout the contract is a must, including weekends and the holiday season.
- A strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a team-first mindset are essential.
