Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages. The position involves working on a La Marzocco machine, knowing latte art, and having the skills to perfectly foam milk for speciality coffee. Also, maintaining a clean workspace to ensure a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.

This role offers an opportunity to work as a leader while ensuring the store's success.

Duties

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks according to company standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Take customer orders efficiently while providing excellent customer service
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using POS systems
- Assist with food preparation and food service, including serving baked goods and light snacks
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and dining space in compliance with food safety standards
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times




- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner to enhance their experience

Skills

- Previous Barista experience - minimum 1 year.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele
- Effective time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform serving duties quickly while maintaining quality standards
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Knowledge of good latte art and milk foaming skills.
