Position Overview

We are seeking a personable, professional, and dependable part-time Event Bartender to join our team.

This is an event-based position, meaning shifts are scheduled according to our event calendar rather than on a fixed weekly schedule. The ideal candidate is someone looking for flexible, occasional work who enjoys a lively event atmosphere and providing excellent guest service.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a friendly, effective, and professional manner.
- Provide excellent customer service to wedding guests and event attendees.
- Verify identification and ensure responsible alcohol service in accordance with Ontario regulations.
- Set up and organize the bar before events, including stocking beverages, ice, glassware, and supplies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar throughout service.
- Process payments and handle transactions accurately when required.
- Monitor alcohol consumption and professionally address situations involving intoxicated guests.
- Assist with bar cleanup, inventory organization, and closing duties following events.
- Work collaboratively with other event staff to ensure smooth and successful events.

Qualifications & Requirements





- Valid Ontario Smart Serve certification required.
- Previous bartending experience preferred, ideally in weddings, banquets, or other event settings.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing typical bar setup and cleanup duties.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and late nights.

Scheduling & Availability This position offers flexibility, but applicants must understand that hours are dependent on scheduled events.

- Most shifts occur on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with occasional weekday events.
- Shifts may begin as early as 1:00 PM and typically finish around midnight or later.
- Some events may require working until 2:00 AM.
- Shift lengths and start times vary depending on the event.
- Hours are not guaranteed, and some weeks may have no available shifts.
- Event schedules will be communicated in advance whenever possible.

This position is particularly well-suited to individuals seeking supplemental income or flexible part-time work rather than a consistent weekly schedule.

Compensation

$25.00 per hour, plus tips.
