MEDIATOR CONSULTANT (Behavioural Consulting Services)

FULL-TIME CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY (up to 12 months with possible extension)

Community Services of Belleville and District (CSBD) is a non-profit community-based agency providing social work services to a tri-county area surrounding Belleville, Ontario. One full-time contract chance on is available immediately for a Mediator Consultant within the Behaviour Consulting program.

The Mediator Consultant will work under the supervision of Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA), to support families with members who have an Intellectual and/or Developmental Disability.

Responsibilities include:

- Coach parents and caregivers to implement Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) strategies to support regulation and skill development, using a Mediator Model
- Maintain a caseload of both children and adults including electronic client record
- Provide basic functional assessment, recommended programming and mediator training in both home and community-based settings.

Qualifications

- Post-secondary education in ABA or Behaviour Science.
- Demonstrated experience in the design of behavioural programming, the behaviour skills training (BST) model, and report writing.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ direct experience working with children and adults with neurodiversity and disabilities.
- Demonstrated knowledge in ABA, child development, family dynamics and working with a multidisciplinary team.




- Experience supporting families to learn strategies to support dysregulation and challenging behaviour.
- The ability to speak French will be considered an asset.
- A car and a valid Ontario Driver’s License are required. Travel throughout Hastings, Prince Edward and Lennox and Addington counties will be expected.

Employment Package This position involves a 35-hour workweek, a flexible schedule, which may include occasional evenings, as determined by the needs of the families, as well as a hybrid work model. Services are provided in a variety of settings and will include family homes, schools, program centres, or other environments as stipulated.

The salary range for this position is $ 56,467.99 - $65,496.18 per year, commensurate with education, qualifications, and experience.
