Position Overview

MC Behavioural Services is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and reliable ABA Therapist to join our growing clinical team. The successful candidate will provide individualized Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) services to children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other developmental needs.

The ABA Therapist will work directly with clients in centre-based and home-based settings, implementing individualized Behaviour Support Plans under the guidance and supervision of our clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement individualized ABA programs and Behaviour Support Plans developed by the clinical team.
- Provide one-to-one ABA therapy in home, centre, and community settings.
- Support the development of functional communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and daily living skills.
- Teach adaptive skills, including personal hygiene, dressing, toileting, and independent living skills.
- Implement skill acquisition programs using evidence-based ABA teaching strategies.
- Follow behaviour intervention and safety protocols as outlined in the client's Behaviour Support Plan.
- Collect accurate and consistent data on client progress, skill acquisition, and target behaviours.
- Complete session notes, progress reports, data sheets, and other required documentation.
- Communicate professionally with parents, caregivers, and other team members regarding client progress.
- Participate in team meetings, clinical supervision, and ongoing training.
- Maintain client confidentiality and follow ethical and professional standards.
- Adapt teaching strategies according to each client's individual needs and learning style.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma, bachelor's degree, or relevant education in Psychology, Behavioural Science, Autism and Behavioural Science, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.




- Previous experience working with children with autism, ADHD, or other developmental needs is an asset.
- RBT certification or ABA-related training is preferred.
- Knowledge of ABA principles, reinforcement strategies, prompting, prompt fading, task analysis, and data collection.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while following clinical direction and supervision.
- Patience, flexibility, reliability, and a genuine interest in supporting children's development.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation are preferred, particularly for home-based sessions.
- Ability to travel to clients' homes within Ottawa and surrounding areas, depending on assigned cases.

Work Schedule and Location
- Part-time and/or flexible scheduling opportunities.
- Weekday afternoons, evenings, and weekends may be required.
- Sessions may take place in clients' homes, at the centre, or in community settings.
- Availability for consistent weekly sessions is preferred.
- Some positions may require travel to specific areas of Ottawa.
