Job Summary

Norlands Box Co. Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Box Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for corrugated packaging products. The role involves analyzing customer requirements, calculating material and production costs, and collaborating with internal teams. Candidates with relevant experience are preferred; however, applicants with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline, strong analytical skills, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare accurate cost estimates for corrugated boxes and custom packaging products.
- Calculate material, labour, and manufacturing costs.
- Review customer specifications, box dimensions, and packaging requirements.
- Collaborate with sales, production, and design teams to prepare competitive quotations.
- Communicate with suppliers to obtain pricing and material availability.
- Maintain and update pricing records, estimation spreadsheets, and customer information.
- Review previous quotations and production costs to improve estimation accuracy.
- Manage multiple quotation requests while meeting deadlines.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of corrugated packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and equipment capabilities.

Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Previous experience in cost estimation, manufacturing,



or the corrugated packaging industry is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn new processes, software, and industry-specific estimating techniques.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $27.00-$32.00 per hour
