Shape stellarator edge physics at Type One Energy through advanced modeling of SOL behavior, divertors, and plasma-material interactions. The permanent, full time position offers hybrid work. This senior computational physics position centers on predictive capabilities for next-generation fusion systems. You will interpret stellarator edge and divertor behavior, assess particle and heat exhaust, and examine impurity transport. You will also collaborate with engineering and experimental teams on Infinity One scenarios and validation.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct stellarator edge and divertor modeling and interpretation
- Apply three-dimensional plasma-neutral simulation tools
- Develop reduced-order SOL and divertor predictive models
- Contribute erosion, redeposition,

and migration modeling
- Collaborate on operational scenarios and validation strategies

Requirements:
- Ph.
D. in plasma physics or related discipline
- Demonstrated SOL, divertor, and boundary physics expertise
- Experience with island divertor configurations is desirable
- Edge modeling experience with relevant simulation frameworks
- Approximately 10 or more years of relevant experience Bring stellarator edge expertise and computational modeling experience to Type One Energy’s fusion boundary physics program.
