Design Works Engineering seeks a senior engineer to serve as mechanical authority across commercial, institutional, and residential projects. You will lead heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and controls while coordinating with in-house disciplines. The position includes technical leadership, mentoring, and client representation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical scope through every project phase
- Review load calculations, drawings, specifications, and design documents
- Mentor intermediate and junior engineers and designers
- Improve mechanical standards, procedures, and QA/QC practices
- Support construction and resolve field issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- APEGA P.
Eng. registration in valuable standing
- 8+ years designing mechanical building systems
- Senior or lead experience mentoring and reviewing work
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and HAP or similar software Bring senior mechanical design leadership, Alberta code knowledge, and client confidence to Design Works Engineering’s Edmonton team.
