Goodridge Contracting and Goodridge Millwork Inc (Toronto/Scarborough) are hiring a Cabinet Designer. We run our own CNC, and once a Mozaik file is done, programming is quick — design is our bottleneck.
Priorities
1. Cabinet and millwork design in Mozaik (top priority) — commercial millwork comes first.
2. Interior design (second priority) — residential renovation design is secondary.
What you'll do:
- Design cabinetry and millwork in Mozaik and produce CNC-ready files, cut lists and drawings
- Turn client briefs, sketches and architectural drawings into buildable designs
- Work with our shop lead so designs suit our materials, hardware and CNC
- Verify site measurements and revise designs for approval
- Support interior design: layouts, finishes and material selections
What we're looking for:
- Mozaik fluency (required) with finished projects to show
- Strong knowledge of cabinet construction, materials, joinery and standard dimensions
- Rapid, accurate work and a good eye for detail
- Interior design experience is an asset
- Comfortable reading architectural and shop drawings
Details:
- Contract role, in person in Scarborough
- $25–$40/hour, based on experience
- 30–40 hours per week
