Work across Torex Gold’s Morelos Complex and Los Reyes project, applying mechanical engineering expertise to studies, construction, and operations. This Canada-based senior position provides discipline input and technical assurance across greenfield and sustaining capital projects. You will review mechanical deliverables, support HSE and risk processes, and advise multidisciplinary teams. Regular contractor collaboration is expected, preferably from the Greater Toronto Area.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide mechanical input during workshops and project risk assessments
- Confirm designs meet codes, standards, and project requirements
- Support management of change for affected project matters
- Assist field investigations and construction issue resolution
- Maintain and develop Torex Gold Engineering Standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Relevant mining experience with medium to large projects
- Familiarity with engineering consultants or EPCM firms
- Robust knowledge of mineral processing equipment and systems
- Proficiency with Teams, Word, Excel, and project tools Use mechanical discipline leadership, technical reviews, and site support to advance Torex Gold’s responsible mining projects.
