At Hard Rock Games, we’re not just making games—we’re crafting experiences that connect people, deliver thrills, and celebrate the spirit of Hard Rock. As the social casino gaming arm of Hard Rock Digital, our teams shape every stage of the journey from concept to launch to live operations, giving our teams the ability to innovate, experiment, and make real impact. Hard Rock Games is hiring a Slot Mathematician to design, model, and validate the math behind our slot games across our game portfolio. You will own the mathematical correctness of every game
- from design through player-facing release
- ensuring models meet target performance metrics and regulatory requirements. Design and model slot game math: reel strips, paytables, symbol weights, bonus features, free spins, and jackpots. Analyze simpler games directly using data analysis tools; write and validate simulations in code for more complex games. Playtest game builds and verify that implemented games match the designed model, payouts, and feature behavior. Produce PAR sheets and comprehensive math documentation for internal review and certification labs (GLI, BMM). Support regulatory certification across jurisdictions by answering lab and regulator questions. Partner with game designers early, advising on feature costs in RTP and impact on volatility. Help build a shared Java codebase of simulators, model libraries and math tools,
starting from our existing tools. Work closely with developers from specification through release to ensure correct math implementation. 3+ years designing math models for slot games with shipped titles in iGaming, Social, or Land
- Based environments. Ability to build and analyze slot models directly using data analysis tools
- comfortable performing direct mathematical analysis. ~ Strong programming and problem-solving skills; Java preferred, but solid Python, C++, or C# is welcome. ~ Comfort with version control systems like Git and working in shared code repositories. ~ Solid grasp of probability, combinatorics, and expected-value analysis. ~ Ability to manually verify, derive, and explain math results. Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. ~ Clear communication skills
- explaining math concepts to designers, producers, and regulators. Competitive compensation with versatile vacation and hybrid work. We care deeply about every interaction our customers have with us, and trust and empower our staff to own and drive their experience. Our vision for our business and customers is built on fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment where regardless of background or beliefs you feel able to be authentic and bring all your talent into play.
