Hatch seeks a Senior Electrical Designer for its St. John's office. You will prepare electrical drawings, develop models, and coordinate systems across energy, mining, industrial, and infrastructure projects. The work includes practical design solutions, technical documentation, and field support.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare single-line diagrams, schematics, layouts, and cable schedulesDesign substations and industrial power distribution systemsDevelop 2D and 3D models using MicroStation and AutoCADCoordinate electrical layouts across multidisciplinary engineering teamsSupport construction, commissioning,
inspections, and field issue resolutionRequirements:
Diploma in electrical engineering technology or relevant technical disciplineRelevant electrical design experience in applicable project environmentsUnderstanding of substations, industrial systems, and power distributionKnowledge of Newfoundland and Labrador and Canadian electrical codesStrong communication, technical judgment, and English proficiencyApply senior electrical design expertise, technical documentation skills, and site support experience to Hatch projects in St. John's.
