Saywell Contracting is looking for motivated, dependable, and hardworking Carpenters and Carpenter Apprentices to join our growing team. We are currently seeking individuals for a variety of large-scale commercial, multi-residential and renovation projects throughout the Nanaimo area.

Whether you are an experienced Carpenter or an Apprentice looking to develop your skills and build a career in the construction industry, we offer the opportunity to work alongside an experienced team on diverse and rewarding projects.

Responsibilities

- Perform a variety of carpentry tasks, including framing, forming, finishing, and installation.
- Assist with general construction activities and daily site operations.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications (as applicable to experience level).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work collaboratively with site supervisors, carpenters, and other trades.
- Follow established safety procedures and maintain a high standard of workmanship.

Qualifications
- Previous construction or carpentry experience
- Red Seal TQ Certificate or equivalent experience




- Registered Carpenter Apprentices at any level are encouraged to apply.
- Strong work ethic, reliability and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
