Certified Dental Assistant (CDA)/Dental Imaging Technologist

Orbit Imaging is seeking a patient-focused CDA or Certified Dental Radiography Technician to join our team 4 days a week in a dual-role position that combines clinical imaging with reception and administrative support.

This is a unique chance for someone who enjoys the dental field and providing exceptional patient care but is looking for a rewarding alternative to chairside dental assisting.

About Orbit Imaging:

We are an established dental and maxillofacial imaging center serving dentists and dental specialists in the lower mainland.

We specialize in advanced diagnostic imaging and related services including:

- Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT)
- Panoramic Imaging
- Cephalometric Imaging
- Digital Impressions (IOS)
- Clinical Photography
- Diagnostic and Radiology Reporting

What You’ll Do:

- Perform CBCT, panoramic, cephalometric, intraoral optical scans, and clinical photos.
- Follow all radiation safety, imaging, and infection-control protocols.
- Position and support patients to ensure high-quality, diagnostic images.
- Assist with preparing radiology reports, image reformats, and ceph tracings.
- Review completed studies for accuracy and manage the reporting queue.
- Save and deliver imaging files to referring clinicians.
- Manage incoming referrals, patient scheduling, and confirmation calls.
- Greet patients, complete intake, and process payments/invoices.




- Handle claim forms, daily reporting, and month-end administrative tasks.
- Provide general phone and reception coverage as needed.

Qualifications

- CDA or Certified Dental Radiography Technician
- 2+ Experience with CBCT, IOS, panoramic or cephalometric imaging
- Strong computer skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized in a healthcare environment
- Professional, reliable and team oriented.

Assets:
- Experience working in a specialty dental practice
