We’re looking for a Registered Pharmacy Technician who takes ownership of their work, contributes to a positive team, and helps keep our pharmacy safe, organized, and efficient.

Your Role

Working alongside our pharmacists and pharmacy assistants, you will use your training to manage technical dispensing responsibilities and support dependable, personal patient service.

Key responsibilities include:

- Process prescriptions, maintain accurate patient records, and prepare, package, and label medications.
- Perform technical checks within your authorized scope and pharmacy procedures, ensuring required pharmacist assessments and counselling occur.
- Identify and address discrepancies, referring clinical questions and concerns to a pharmacist.
- Assist patients with refills, insurance billing, prescription status, and pickup arrangements.
- Communicate professionally with patients, prescribers, other pharmacies, and coworkers.
- Support inventory ordering, receiving, storage, expiry checks, and required documentation.
- Help prioritize workflow, maintain an organized workspace, and provide clear handoffs.
- Protect patient confidentiality, report safety concerns, and contribute ideas for improvement.

Required Qualifications
- Pharmacy Technician Diploma from a CCAPP-accredited program, or an equivalent education or registration pathway recognized by the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals.
- Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) certification.
- Current registration and a valid pharmacy technician licence in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals, or eligibility to obtain these before starting in the licensed role.
- Strong attention to detail, accurate pharmaceutical calculation skills, and a commitment to patient safety.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Comfort using pharmacy software; community pharmacy experience and familiarity with Kroll are assets.
