We are an active, welcoming, and intergenerational church community. We have a solid foundation of programs, relationships, and opportunities for connections. We are looking for someone who can help guide a team and nurture the relationship between our children and youth and Jesus.

WE ARE SEEKING SOMEONE WHO IS:

● Actively in a relationship with Jesus

● Passionate about working with children, youth, and young adults

● A strong relationship-builder who genuinely enjoys spending time with young people

● Comfortable creating an environment that combines faith, friendship, fun, and belonging

● Organized, dependable and able to manage time and responsibilities effectively

● Comfortable working collaboratively with volunteers, families, staff, and the wider community

Experience working with children and youth, particularly in a church or community setting, is preferred.

Theological training or similar education will be considered an asset.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Faith Formation

● Help children and youth explore, nurture, and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ

● Create meaningful opportunities for prayer, worship, reflection, discussion and spiritual practice





● Connect faith with everyday life, questions, challenges, justice, service, and the world around us

● Help build genuine and lasting relationships with children, youth, young adults, and families

Programming & Community

● Coordinate Sunday and mid-week programming for children and youth

● Support children and youth participation in worship and other church-wide activities

● Help develop a culture where youth are more than simply participants. But also life long and valued members of the church

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

Position: Children & Youth Leader

Hours: 30 hours per week

Mandatory Commitment: Sunday mornings: 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m., Wednesday evenings (included)

Compensation: $23/hr plus benefits (medical and dental)
