Apply cost engineering and project controls expertise to Aecon’s civil construction work at the John Hart Dam in Campbell River. The role is site-based. Aecon seeks an experienced Project Controls Specialist for a seismic upgrade strengthening an existing hydroelectric dam.

The work includes cost and budget management, forecasting, payment support, client applications, change order proposals, and stakeholder reporting. You will also participate in cost and scheduling decisions, with occasional support for the Scheduler.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain project-level costs, budgets, quantities, and forecasts
- Calculate forecast cost to complete and budget revisions
- Facilitate client payment applications and subcontractor payments
- Assemble cost and schedule proposals for change orders
- Prepare internal and external project reports Requirements:
- Approximately five to ten years’ project controls experience
- Relevant civil construction experience
- Degree in a related field or applicable work experience
- Robust SAP and Microsoft Excel capabilities
- Knowledge of PMBOK, cost engineering, and Earned Value Use cost control, forecasting, SAP, and Excel skills to support Aecon’s seismic upgrade project delivery.
