Class 1 Flat Deck Driver

Loadstar Dispatchers (1963) Ltd. is an Alberta-owned and operated transportation company based in Edmonton. For more than 60 years, we have provided transportation, logistics, and storage solutions to the oil and gas, power, utility, and industrial sectors throughout Western Canada.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for experienced Class 1 Flat Deck Drivers for city and long-haul work in our Edmonton and Calgary Terminals. We offer well-maintained equipment, stable year-round employment, competitive wages, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

- Safely transport flat-deck freight throughout Alberta and Western Canada
- Secure loads using straps, chains, binders, and other required equipment
- Complete accurate pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain required logs, permits, and transportation documents
- Follow company, customer, and regulatory safety requirements
- Represent Loadstar professionally when working with customers and field personnel
- Adapt to changing schedules and assignments in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

- Valid Class 1 driver’s license
- At least three years of Class 1 driving experience
- Acceptable commercial driver’s abstract




- Strong written and spoken English skills
- Ability to understand safety instructions, communicate clearly with dispatch and customers, and complete required documentation
- Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
- Reliable, with a strong work ethic and good customer-service skills
- Physically able to install tire chains and secure loads with straps, chains, and binders
