Fleetwood Metal Industries, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate prospect for an Section Manager Tooling in our Tillsonburg, Ontario Stamping Facility. The Section Manager Tooling is responsible for the planning, organizing, directing and management of the tooling function to ensure production goals are met adequately and in a timely manner.
Manage the daily operations of the tool and die shop, including die repair, maintenance, and scheduling of a 3 shift production operation Continuously seek out and identify opportunities for improvement in costs, quality, customer service, health and safety and plant operations Work with die suppliers to improve out of the box reliability for new and replacement tooling Review and analyze tooling performance and data to increase productivity, quality and reliability Work with engineering and sales at quoting stage to provide the most accurate information,



help drive quote acceptance Report die shop KPI at the daily production meetings as well as monthly and annual reports and plans Communicate any apparent relative information on tooling issues and delays to the production and sales teams Minimum 5 years of technical and mechanical trades experience in a high paced manufacturing field The Company is vertically integrated from mined raw materials, direct reduced iron, and ferrous scrap to primary steelmaking and downstream finishing, stamping, tooling, and tubing.
