Clinical Education Facilitator Grant-Funded Casual Part-Time

Salary Rang: $6,785 - $10,790

Proposed Start Date: January 5, 2027

Proposed End Date: April 23, 2027

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Coordinator, Clinical Placement, Skills and Simulation Centre and to the Director of Clinical Education, the Clinical Education Facilitator:

- Effectively supervises, trains, and evaluates a group of nursing students in a clinical setting, while assessing student performance according to the Entry Level Competencies for Registered Nurses in Manitoba.
- Facilitates students' critical thinking, and links the concepts that they are learning in class, and skills learned in the skills lab and simulation lab, to safe patient care.
- Performs related administrative responsibilities as required
- Utilizes course UM LEARN website.

Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing Degree
- Recent clinical experience of 2 years or more
- Robust interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to manage conflict and exercise good judgment.
- Ability to educate adults including completion of student assessment and formative and summative assessments




- Ability to carry out formative and summative assessments
- Ability to manage conflict and exercise good judgment

- Effective leadership skills
- Proficient with emails, Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF, and designated Learning Management System (UMLearn)
- Participates effectively in an interdisciplinary, team-environment

- Able to work Manages independently with off-site supervision
- Life-long learner

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Current Nursing Certificate of Practice License (without conditions) with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba

- Current CPR card
- Satisfactory Adult Abuse Registry Check
- Satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check
- Satisfactory Criminal Record and Vulnerable Persons Check

- Recent mask fit testing
