The City of Nanaimo seeks a Manager, Development Engineering to direct its Development Engineering Section. The position oversees planning, organizing, direction, and control within Planning & Development. Complex issues and matters of major impact are referred to the Director.
Key Responsibilities
Plan Development Engineering Section activities and prioritiesOrganize section work within Planning & DevelopmentDirect and control Development Engineering operationsReview development proposals using independent judgmentRefer complex issues to the DirectorRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related disciplineMinimum five years of related experienceProven management supervisory experienceEligibility for Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia membershipValid Class 5 BC Driver’s LicenceApply civil engineering leadership, development proposal review, and sound judgment as Nanaimo’s Development Engineering Manager.
