Overview

Community Care Workers support people with day-to-day care while promoting comfort, dignity, and independence. The role may involve care in a person’s home or a residential setting, adapting support to individual needs and routines.

Duties

- Provide patient care and senior care, including support for people living with dementia or disabilities.
- Assist with personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, and protected mobility, including heavy lifting when appropriate.
- Maintain clean, orderly living spaces and follow agreed care routines in home care, assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice settings.
- Communicate changes in wellbeing to colleagues and contribute to consistent, person-centred support.

Requirements

Required: Practical caregiving skills, patience, clear communication, and the ability to support daily care tasks safely and respectfully. Preferred: Experience in patient care, senior care, dementia care, disability support, home care, assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care, along with strengths in cleaning, meal preparation, medication administration, and mobility assistance.

Pay: $19.32-$26.00 per hour
