Position Overview The Construction Services Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating civil field services activities during the construction phase of projects, including inspection, field coordination, documentation, and construction support. This role provides day‑to‑day leadership and oversight of a team of Inspectors while serving as the primary link between construction sites, clients, and the civil project team.

Lead supports strong client relationships and responsive customer service by maintaining transparent, timely, and professional communication, coordinating follow-up, and helping address client needs throughout project delivery.

Responsibilities:

- Provide day‑to‑day leadership, guidance, and workload coordination for the team of Civil Field Staff and Construction Inspectors
- Assign inspection coverage, site visits, and field priorities in coordination with Project Managers
- Provide ongoing performance feedback and coaching to direct reports
- Act as a primary point of contact between construction sites, Inspectors, and the civil project team
- Support scheduling and coordination of inspections, site visits, and field services
- Provide oversight and guidance to Inspectors to ensure inspections are conducted in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards
- Support identification and documentation of non‑conforming work and ensure timely reporting to the project team
- Ensure accurate and organized field records are maintained, including daily reports, photographs, inspection logs, and site documentation
- Assist with tracking construction progress, quantities, and inspection deliverables as required
- Promote safe work practices and comply with site specific health and safety requirements
- Support Project Managers with the preparation of pricing proposals, including developing scopes,



estimating field service requirements, and compiling fee information
- Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or an equivalent engineering discipline from a recognized institution.
- Licensed or actively working toward licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario, or hold a C.E.T. or C.Tech designation
- Progressive experience in civil construction inspection, field coordination, or construction support
- Demonstrated ability to lead and support a small team in a field‑based environment
- Strong understanding of civil construction practices, drawings, and specifications
- Effective communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Proficiency with field reporting tools, Microsoft Office, and CAD software (AutoCAD / Civil 3D) is considered an asset
- Valid Ontario Class G drivers license

Working Conditions

- Combination of field and office work on active civil construction projects.
- Regular presence on construction sites, including outdoor conditions and uneven terrain.
- May require flexible hours to align with site or project needs.
- Travel required to job sites across Ontario

Pay: $75,000.00-$105,000.00 per year

Experience:
- supervisory or management: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
- P.Eng, C.E.T, or C.Tech designation (preferred)
