Company Description Olympia Sports Camp is a seasonal sports and recreation camp that provides youth with a safe and engaging environment to develop athletic skills, build confidence, and enjoy outdoor activities. Located in Huntsville, Ontario, the camp offers a variety of structured programs led by experienced staff and coaches. Olympia focuses on teamwork, personal growth, and healthy living, with an emphasis on supportive supervision and high-quality facilities.

The camp’s food services team plays a key role in supporting campers and staff by providing nutritious meals that meet diverse dietary needs.

Role Description This is a contract, on-site Cook role based at Olympia Sports Camp in Huntsville, ON, and candidates must be legally able to work in Canada as no sponsorship is available. The Cook prepares and cooks meals for campers and staff, following established menus and recipes while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include food preparation, operating kitchen equipment, portioning and serving food, and assisting with cleaning and maintaining the kitchen, storage, and dining areas.

The Cook collaborates with the kitchen team to meet meal timelines,



supports special dietary requirements when directed, manages ingredients to minimize waste, and helps with inventory and stock rotation. The role involves working flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on camp needs.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in cooking in a commercial, camp, institutional, or high-volume kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and safe operation of standard kitchen equipment.
- Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines, and menu plans while maintaining consistent quality.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented workplace.
- Capacity to stand for extended periods and lift supplies and equipment as required for kitchen work.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to take direction from kitchen leadership.
- Availability to work on-site in Huntsville, ON for the duration of the contract and to legally work in Canada (no sponsorship provided).
- Food Handler or equivalent food safety certification is preferred; prior camp or hospitality experience is an asset.
